My head is about to burst everytime I hear about Trump’s Arch. In the latest attempt to distract from everyday issues, this may be one of his most dangerous projects yet.
We know Trump is a megalomaniac, who would like to see his name on everything, so that he can revel in his vanity and legacy.
Whether he succeeds in one of his vanity projects is really secondary to his convincing the populous of his immense power. Intimidating the Press, Congress, Voters, Law Firms, TV networks and any other potential adversary is his main goal.
Putting sniper nests atop an arch in the middle of Washington will make the citizens safer- HOW? Will the snipers be shooting at international adversaries or U.S. protestors? Is there a lack of storage space in this country that it is a good idea to store drones on this Arch.
His ideas and law suits are akin to throwing spaghetti against the wall and seeing if any of it sticks.
If he is keeping his adversaries off balance and busy, dealing with inane executive orders and Court cases then he is winning his long game.
His goal is to lesson the impact of something he is successful in advancing, so that his opponents are weaker and less resolved. RJB
