Desired or not nature decided to slow things down today. Parked in the middle of Clarksdale Rd., a busy little two lane thoroughfare in my neighborhood, with a lot of farm area and not many cross streets, was a giant turtle, almost two feet in diameter.
People were getting out of their cars to monitor traffic around the leisurely amphibian. Traffic slowed and there was a joint effort going on to save the little fellow. Either he was just out getting some sun or this was nature's way of reminding us that we all lose our way occasionally, or could it just have been nature's way of telling us to chill for a minute.
