Just when you thought W couldn’t screw the pooch any worse than he already has, he surprises us with another shot between the eyes. He goes and brings about a major financial collapse. After being in office for seven plus years it is impossible to say that most of the blame for the financial crisis doesn’t lay at his feet.
On March 5, 2008, I listed some of his many other contributions to our well being. These are some of the other things that happened during his administration:
The largest terrorist attack against the mainland of the United States took place on his watch.
The Katrina debacle unfolded in front of our eyes on his watch.
The Iraqi invasion and subsequent travesties took place on his orders or during his watch.
The sub-prime credit crunch and spreading financial crisis took place on his watch.
Literacy, math and science skills falling dramatically behind other countries is a trend continuing on his watch.
Large increase in the amount of people without health insurance has taken place on his watch.
The erosion of respect for and increase of enmity toward the U.S. has taken place on his watch.
The slowing growth of the economy, increasing deficits and inflation, and $100 oil have taken place on his watch.
A poor Medicaid prescription plan for the elderly and an erosion of privacy rights have taken place on his watch.
The re-emergence of the Taliban as a major force in Afghanistan and Pakistan. RJB
