Hunting

The weak man's method of dealing with feelings of inferiority.  A form of venting frustrations resulting from everyday life. People take out their aggression by hunting..  After all the elephants, tigers and rhinos have been killed,  the animals will be replaced by humans as prey..

Religion

Why is it that the Bible tells us of time and time again when G-d is active in the protection of the Jewish people. The Bible is replete with stories of G-d protecting his chosen people.

G-d parted the Red Sea to allow the Jewish people safe passage, but allowed the Sea to crush the pursuing Egyptians, David defeated the Philistines with the help of a slingshot.  The walls of Jericho crumbled from the sound of the horns and shouting. These are a few of the great stories of g-d enabling the Jewish people.

Other stories tell the tale of G-d punishing wrongdoers, such as the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, with fire and brimstone, because of their sins.

What is it about modern times that there have been no such interventions? There have been many slaughters and massacres in recent history.  What stands out most clearly is the Holocaust. Given G-d's interventions in the past, what is there that leads us to the fact that he would have allowed for the mass killing of millions of his chosen people?

Would he allow some of his greatest species, elephants and tigers, to be eliminated for material gains.
