This morning, on Meet The Press, Harry Reid said,"the current Congress has been the most productive Congress in history".
This Congress's inability to address many pressing issues, is well known to even the most reclusive of the electorate. For the leader of the Senate to publicly brag about the accomplishments of his Senate, whether he believes it or not, shows the kind of disregard for the intelligence of the American people that we usually only hear from Republicans.
The tactic of publicizing an untruth, with the aim being to have some believe it, has been used successfully many times over the past ten years.
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."* It seems as though Politicians still think they can benefit by distorting the truth. It is our jobs to hold them accountable.
